Standard indoor projectors or basic outdoor covers were simply not an option. The client needed a robust solution that guaranteed uptime without frequent maintenance interventions.

The Enclosure: Climate Control & IP Protection
To shield this investment, we specified a purpose-built Outdoor Projector Enclosure featuring an integrated climate control system. The enclosure provided:
Active Cooling & Heating: A closed-loop thermoelectric system maintained an internal temperature of 20–25°C (68–77°F), regardless of external extremes. This prevented thermal shutdown and protected the laser diodes from overheating.
Ingress Protection (IP54/55): The unit was sealed against dust ingress and water splashing, with a specialized intake filter system to handle the saline air.
Condensation Management: Internal humidity sensors triggered a dehumidification cycle to prevent optical fogging and internal corrosion.
Remote Monitoring: The enclosure’s control board allowed facility managers to monitor internal temperature, fan speed, and power consumption remotely via the building management system (BMS).
